    Traditional noren curtain in kakizome natural hemp, The painted pattern includes floral blossoms of the cherry tree (sakura) and a poetic stone wall of a Japanese castle. The sakura is a symbol of feminine beauty and strength of the samurai that reach their peak and then "fade". Fully hand painted. Author's signature on the bottom. Divided into two panels. New, from Kyoto.

    The noren curtains are born as a sign that was hung outside the shops to indicate the opening. Today being often considered works of art, they are used as elements of decoration , to divide rooms or simply hang on the walls.
